Home Sweet Home
I am married to Kevin Jones. He is a hard working farmer. We have been married for 20 years and have two children: Austin is a junior at GCHS, and Allison is a freshman at GCHS. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I absolutely LOVE the beach!! It is my favorite vacation spot. I enjoy baseball, softball, and basketball (especially when Austin or Allison are playing), but I am also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs!! I also love to go shopping and could go to the movies every night!
Teaching Philosophy
I began my teaching career at Farmington as a Title 1 Instructional Assistant in the fall of 1993. I was hired as a 2nd/3rd grade teacher for the 1994-1995 school year. Wow, I am about to begin my 20th year of teaching!! My main goal for every year is to build strong relationships with my students and their families. Communication between the parents and teacher is very important to me and is essential in helping each child perform his/her best. Yes, I am your child’s teacher this year, but I hope to form a lasting impression that makes you and your child feel comfortable in coming to me whenever you need something no matter how old you become! I believe every child can learn. I work hard to make sure every child works hard and is performing at his/her highest level. I, in addition to every teacher at Farmington, have high expectations that are attainable. With all of us working together, your child will, without a doubt, have a successful year! I am really looking forward to a FANTASTIC year!

Becki Stratton

Hi! My name is Becki Stratton. I am looking forward to a great year in Third Grade! It's great to be teaching 3rd grade again after a few years in the upper grades. Below is a little about myself that you might find useful in getting to know me.

Mid-Continent University, Bachelor in Christian Education 1998
University of Tennessee at Martin, Master in Elementary Education 2004
Home Sweet Home
My husband is Ben Stratton. He pastors the Farmington Baptist Church. We are busy with two daughters who also attend Farmington. Abbi is in 6th grade and Olivia is in 2nd grade. We all love being Wildcats! Our family enjoys vacations and spending time together.
Teaching Philosophy
I began my teaching career at Fulton County Elementary as a 1st grade teacher. Later I was moved to 4th grade where I taught reading. This is my fifth year at Farmington where I have mostly taught reading. Reading is my favorite subject! I believe gaining a connection with my students is key in their academic performance. School to home communication is also important so concepts taught at school can be reinforced at home. It is for that reason that I encourage open communication between parents and myself. I want my classroom to be a place where students look forward to coming each day! I have a motto in my classroom....No time to be sad or mad, just be awesome! I know it's going to be an AWESOME year!
